Sustainability

Sustainable from the start

Since our beginning in 2002, we’ve been on a green mission, designing and building reusable and recyclable exhibition stands.

We continue to meticulously design our exhibition stands to ensure they have minimal environmental impact, utilising reusable custom modular structures and suggesting evergreen designs that our clients can use time and time again.

We can also store your stands safely in our secure warehouse. In fact, some of our clients have been reusing the same stands for more than 10 years!

How we’re more eco...

We continuously evolve our product range, bringing a number of services in house so that we can be even more efficient.

Our custom build workshop will allow you to add tailor-made features to our modular structures. This means we can work together with unlimited creative freedom within our sustainable system. We have also adopted the latest Dye Sublimation fabric printing technology so we have the best quality graphics that will last years without fading. This means that our travel is kept to a minimum, and gives us full oversight of our manufacturing line.

Although it’s impossible to completely eliminate waste from the exhibition process, we always keep up to date with the latest technology and manufacturing advancements, so we come pretty close. We’re constantly making improvements whenever and wherever possible to recycle, reuse and significantly reduce our environmental impact.

Here’s the top line on our sustainability story:

  • 0% of our waste goes to landfill
  • All of our packaging and cardboard is recycled
  • All show carpets and floor coverings are fully recycled or reused
  • 100% of the wood waste from our workshop is used as biomass energy to heat our warehouse and keep things toasty
  • We have a full range of reusable, adaptable stand infrastructures for hire, which adapt seamlessly to your requirements without impacting the environment
  • Our graphics are designed to be reused and we encourage clients to think of reusability at all touchpoints
  • We use non-solvent based inks in all our graphics
  • When our aluminium systems finally reach the end of their lifecycle, they’re fully recycled, ready to be given a new lease of life as something different
  • All single use plastic products have been removed from our office
  • Our beer fridge is handily restocked by a local brewery just around the corner
  • All our office’s cleaning and hand sanitary products are refillable, eco-friendly and recyclable
  • We offer the cycle to work scheme to all Skyline Whitespace employees
  • We have planted over 300 trees through our free office fruit scheme through Fruitful

Leaving smaller footprints every step of the way

Keeping our company’s carbon footprint to a minimum has been a priority for our team from the get-go. We carefully consider methods to offset our carbon emissions and take part in a number of initiatives to do so.

We’re proud to work with a local company called Trees for Cities, who work with local communities to bring lasting change in their neighbourhoods by helping forgotten spaces come back to life and encouraging people to get excited about growing and foraging foods. We get out with our shovels and spades to help out as often as we can! We also plant a tree for every stand over a certain carbon output, helping to offset and create a better environment for everyone.

We have also commenced ISO14001’s Environmental Management System accreditation, which means we have rigorous environmental impact reduction targets across the whole business.

So how can a exhibition stand be greener?

  • Rent a stand. We hold one of the largest rental inventories of exhibition system solutions in Europe.
  • Our stock is maintained to a high standard and regularly refurbished. This means you can tap into our rental resource for all your exhibition requirements without having to spend lots of unnessessary budget.
  • Renting reduces storage fees, has no large capital expense, and gives you more creative flexibility with less environmental impact.
  • If you do decide to buy, our modular exhibition systems are lightweight and compact – this means low cost storage and shipping.
  • All of our systems are fully recyclable.
  • We offer clients an unlimited use of our systems instead of purchase. This provides all the advantages of ownership and multiple use of stands over many years but without the cost implications of storage, refurbishment and flexibility.
