Earlier this month, our team attended the 9th edition of Marketing Week Live, the UK’s most reputable multi-disciplined marketing exhibition.
The event attracted over 5,500 visitors – Marketers were able to enjoy two days of networking opportunities and expert talks covering everything around marketing, from brand storytelling and content creation to programmatic advertising. With over 120 exhibitors, the show floor was buzzing with activity. It featured exhibitors of various sizes, from smaller shell scheme stands to some larger and interesting exhibition spaces. Many exhibitors promoted their presence and key messages with trade show games, which were fun to participate in and to watch. We tried our luck at finding hidden logos, spinning prize wheels and even breaking a Guinness World Record in stacking Lego bricks. All this coupled with flash mob performances and numerous giveaways including popcorn, doughnuts (which we thoroughly enjoyed!) and jelly sweets made the show engaging and exciting!
Marketing Week Live offers a great opportunity for businesses to meet face-to face with potential new clients and senior marketers from B2B and B2C brands, and yet again, the show was a huge success for Skyline Whitespace!
Our modern and fresh stand design stood out from the busy exhibition hall and attracted a regular flow of visitors. Our design was focused on conveying two messages; we deliver end to end services for exhibitions with our top in-house team, – and we believe in Green exhibitions. Those themes were translated into concise messages for the stand , respectively ‘Exhibitions under one roof’ and ‘Green exhibitions’. The latter showcased our green credentials and drew attention to the importance of staying green when exhibiting – not just a trendy claim any more but a reality. You can read our top tips for environmentally friendly exhibitions here. Our modular stand featured a ‘living room’ area with a modern feel: comfy sofas for informal chats, coffee table and a large TV screen, as well as an interactive green ‘garden’ area with more seating, a live Twitter wall and #GreenSkyline competition. The focal point was our Brew Bar which was undoubtedly a big success. We served free freshly brewed ground coffee in fully recyclable and reusable bamboo mugs. The branded mugs not only reinforced our green theme but also were a hugely popular giveaway!! We had an amazing two days. Our team met a lot of quality contacts which we are busy following up with – after all, fun or not, this is still about ROI and MWL certainly delivered this year.
