This month, Skyline Whitespace exhibited at the 10th edition of Marketing Week Live, the UK’s biggest marketing and engagement exhibition.
The event which co-located with the Insight Show, was busier than ever this year with over 6,000 visitors. Marketers from all over the UK heard the latest industry trends and got the chance to meet new suppliers.
Marketing Week Live is always a tough one. You’re marketing to marketers, so you have to do something different to stand out from the pack. Pens and mints don’t cut it anymore with the next generation of marketers focused on experiences and personalisation.
Skyline Whitespace partnered with personalised chocolate gifting brand, Candy Mechanics who used CNC (computer numerical control) mills to make replicas of visitors faces on chocolate lollypops. This experiential marketing experience tied in with our theme for MWL 19 which was “Building Face to Face Experiences” (see what we did there?).
Use of space
The stand build itself was a fresh and modern construction with zones for different purposes. Our modular stand featured a comfy living room area with sofas and a large TV screen, a standing meeting / reception area and our engagement area featuring the “Chocolate Bar”. Modular exhibition systems are designed and built for reconstruction, give increased flexibility and ease of transport. In addition, they are an environmentally friendly and carbon neutral stand option.
Lucky visitors to the Skyline Whitespace stand tweeted their chocolate LOLpops using #skylineMWL, pushing our brand reach further. We also featured in a few event highlight videos which you’ll see popping up on our social channels. Visitors and the event organisers told us they’d never seen engagement like it at the show, and at most points, we had queues going right round the stand for the experience.
We had an amazing two days. Post-show conversations with new clients some from the biggest companies around the UK have already started. We’re incredibly excited to take on the challenge of bringing their brands to life.
