Video game retailer Game have been exhibiting at many different national and international shows over the last few years, using a series of expensive custom exhibition stands.  With each of these stands being a 'one use only' exhibition stand, the costs of constant exhibiting had begun to mount up, and the resulting waste and cost was becoming problematic.

Brief

Game approached Skyline Whitespace with a brief for an exhibition stand that delivered reusability, efficiency and environmental benefit, whilst also delivering a flexible reusable stand that had a wow factor that was in excess of even the best of their previous 'one use only' stands.  The system that Skyline Whitespace delivered gives Game the ability to deliver a flexible exhibition space that works a variety of stand areas, the largest of these being the 130 sq metre space that was used at the Gadget Show live, a visually attractive and highly successful space.  

Solution

This installation delivered a retail environment that housed 6 till points and a variety of innovative mobile docking tills, allowing flexibility on where the tills are positioned without the cost and time penalties associated with moving till points in a conventional stand.  The installation also gave Game up to 15 wall bays and 24 bays to display large volumes of stock, to increase product visibility and therefore generate higher sales volumes.

The stand also included a secure stock holding area of 3metres x 5 metres, to allow the stand to be readily replenished with games and hardware when purchase volumes were high without delay. It included an exhibitor safe to ensure that cash and income were secure during the show. 

The flexible console display area delivered complete flexibility, allowing Wii, XBox & PS3 to be interchanged to take into account demand, with large format digital screens used at the end of each aisle unit to generate crowd draw and interest. High level aerial mounted signage and branding ensured that exhibition goers were able to pick out the Gamestand from almost anywhere in the exhibition. The stand is also able to be rebranded for either Game or GameStationwith minimal effort.

Summary

In the first 2 years of usage, the Skyline Whitespace custom modular stand will be used to deliver 5 shows per year and deliver real cost savings.  The only additional costs are those for equipment, technology, storage costs, maintenance and per show transporation/ erect and dismantle costs.  With the innovative Skyline Whitespace system, the storage costs will be lower due to smaller packed form factor of our products and erect/ dismantle costs will be lower due to the shorter time is takes to construct an exhibition stand using our custom modular systems.
